we went to go look at the other buildings today, as requested by Sarah, who not only said she set up appointments at these places but would also be showing me one of them... If our building isn't up to code there is NO WAY that the other buildings are... NONE of the 4 we saw today had working elevators.. one had leaking water( its pouring today) and they were all in worse condition then universal..I met a maintenance guy at one place who told me our building was shut down because of a raw sewage leak in the basement that has been there for 6 months!!
I was also told by two different managers that I shouldn't bother looking anywhere except the river and Hudson and to make sure I said i was a new tenant not a transfer because they would tell me that they were full( Sarah did that already) but they have a ton of openings!!
The owner of the boydell company has his own special loft at the hudson so I'm sure it has to be in better condition then the other places. The coat factory doesn't even have a sign saying its that and its between two abandon buildings so I barely found it. All of the managers were not surprised that Sarah told them nothing..they said they do not trust her and she has NO AUTHORITY in the business!! I ha vent even spoke to her about not showing up..no point now.
So all in all I'm just sickened over this mess.. and I'm hoping we get our security check back. If we get the news involved and they see how all of these buildings are being run then they will want this story for sure!
PS- I found out that the managers make commission on move ins, so I'm sure that's why Darrell moved people in knowing that the building would close :/ sorry guys
