Just wondering if there has been any news from the city on the date or with legal action? I'm planning on moving in a couple days, but would ljust like to know.

I just talk to a city inspector and as of right now they do not have a vacate order on this building. He stated that we should go by the dates that management has given us as to when to vacate this building.
He also stated to call every week, because...things change. So right now, you should plan to be out of this building by end of August or the September 1 date provided by management.

I'm not here to give legal advice and I would also recommend people get out of the building by the 1st... but not because of Boydell's Notice to Quit. I do not feel that their notice was in any way legal or legitimate. With that being said I am moving tomorrow.
I really think people should get out just because the building will only get worse with less and less people living in it, not to mention more unsafe.
The city is also required to give the tenants some sort of notice before telling everyone to leave.
LEGAL ACTION:
From what the law firm has stated, they are in the process of trying to get a (and I don't know the legal term) motion passed so that people aren't forced to leave. Again, I will update people under the Legal tab as I find out more info.
